10-19-26, Delia's Update

Today Isobel had an MRI/MRA (angiogram via magnetic imaging) which showed no growth of an AVM and no signs of infection. As we approach the one year mark, I asked the question of what can be expected based on where she is now. The answer, we already knew; most healing is usually done in the first year. We have not seen a lot, so that is a pin in the balloon, but as I think about it, she has defied the odds twice and is still here among us. So, I heard today that we have essentially reached the end of what man can do for her.

Thankfully, we serve a big and powerful God who loves to make the impossible happen.  I can’t say, “Thus says the Lord, she will be fully healed”, but I do still believe that he will heal her. I don’t know, and may never know, why it had to all happen this way. I just know that my husband and I have had more growth in the Lord during this time than we ever have and it’s not like we haven’t had major struggles prior to this. I can also say that Isobel is aware of what is going on around her.  Basically, we just keep taking one day at a time and we keep trusting God to do what He does, which is meet us where we are and allow Him to take us where He needs us to go.

We continue to be grateful for all those who support us in prayer and we pray this journey speaks to you in ways only God can do.
